In June 2014 I undertook a 25 days residency in Kings Wood, Challock.

Kings Wood is a working forest that spreads over 1500 acres with an extensive networks of paths. I set out to document my daily walks in the wood through the form of creation of map, as an artist-cartographer, which were then translated into sculptural objects - abstractions of the navigation of the physical site (the forest floor). The sculptural piece, worked from documentary material of the created maps, demonstrates how the location might have another life beyond the mapped documentary record.

The residency was provided by Stour Valley Arts.
